The Christian Reformed Church in Sierra Leone (CRC-SL), in partnership with One Mission Society (OMS), has been working towards sustainability and self-reliance. Over the past four years, they have trained leaders in hard-to-reach areas to spread the gospel and plant churches through the Village Church Planting program (VCPSL).
As part of this effort, CRC-SL President Rev. Moses Jawara welcomed Pastor Wade Graber, his wife Madam Wade Graber, and the Africa Director of Village Church Planting. They have come to Sierra Leone for a three-day intensive training session in Freetown. This training is for Master Trainers, who will then train church planters in their communities.
Many believe that one of the most important ways to build a strong and lasting mission is to train local leaders. These leaders will then raise new leaders, ensuring continuous church growth. By equipping people within their own communities, the church can expand and remain strong.
The training will focus on evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development. Master Trainers will gain the skills and knowledge needed to guide and support new church planters in their local areas. This approach will help spread the gospel to more villages and strengthen the church in Sierra Leone.
We ask for prayers for our guests as they stay in the country to carry out this important work. May God bless their efforts and bring great impact to the communities they serve.
