By CRC-SL National Media Team
The Christian Reformed Church of Sierra Leone (CRC-SL) recently held its annual National Pastors’ Conference and Bethel Revival at the CRC-SL national secretariat in Kabala, Koinadugu District. The event brought together pastors from all over the country to strengthen their faith, fellowship, and share experiences.
The conference concluded with a special ceremony where the National President of CRC-SL, Rev. Moses Musa Jawara, presented hard-cover Bibles to all attendees. These Bibles, printed by the Trinitarian Bible Society, were a significant gift symbolizing the church’s commitment to equipping its leaders with God’s Word. Each pastor received a copy during the closing ceremony.
Speaking to the CRC-SL media team, Rev. Jawara expressed his gratitude to everyone who attended, especially the international guest preacher, Rev. Thomas Dykama from the United States. Rev. Dykama delivered powerful sermons throughout the event, focusing on the Book of Philippians, particularly chapters 1 and 4. His messages encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast in their faith and rejoice in God’s goodness.
To honor Rev. Dykama’s contribution, the leadership of CRC-SL presented him with gifts, including a beautifully designed picture card featuring him and his wife. A celebratory cake-cutting ceremony added to the joyful atmosphere. The gesture was a token of appreciation for his dedication and efforts in inspiring the pastors and members of the CRC-SL.
During the closing remarks, Rev. Moses Musa Jawara made significant announcements regarding the church’s leadership. He declared the immediate transfer of Rev. David Koroma to the One Mile Church, where he will take on new responsibilities. In addition, Rev. Frederick Bilal Mansaray was appointed as the CRC-SL National Media Communication Officer. This new role reflects the church’s dedication to enhancing communication and outreach within and beyond its community.
The conference ended on a high note, with pastors and attendees praising God for the successful event and the spiritual renewal they experienced. Many expressed their excitement about implementing the lessons learned during the conference in their ministries.
The Christian Reformed Church of Sierra Leone continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering its leaders and members. Through initiatives like the annual National Pastors’ Conference and Bethel Revival, the church is fostering unity and strengthening its mission to spread the Gospel across Sierra Leone.
